Welcome to Virginia Sports Now!   We hope you will find this Web site to be a must-visit destination for news, features, analysis and more on your favorite state collegiate teams and area professional teams.

A staff of professionals including former Times-Dispatch sports editor Mike Harris, former Washington Post staff writer Angela Watts and CAA historian Michael Litos will provide the type of coverage you’d expect from experienced journalists.  We’re not going to have a lot of bells and whistles here.  We want to have a lot of good material for those who still like to read about sports.

Membership is inexpensive.  It’s only $25 per year ($20 if you’re among the first 3,000 to sign up).  During August, the site will be free to everyone.  After Sept. 1, you must be a member to view our content.  If you sign up early, your membership won’t renew until the following September. Otherwise, your membership renews one year after your sign-up date.    Only members will be able to comment on stories during the first month.
